FRÏS (pronounced "FREES") is a Danish vodka brand owned by the Sazerac Company. FRÏS vodka was launched in the US in 1989 by Danish Distillers and Hiram Walker Distillers (Canada/US). Danish Distillers was sold in 1999 to V&S Group, which was then acquired by Pernod Ricard Group in 2008.
Cîroc Vodka is made from two different types of French grapes—mauzac blanc and ugni blanc—and is distilled five times. Its name is a mashup of two French words: cime (peak) and roche (rock).
Zyr Vodka was released in 2003. Its production is based on a 9-5-3 formula: nine filtrations, five distillations, and three tastings. The vodka uses winter wheat and rye that is grown near Moscow.
